If you spend a little time looking around the site, you will see that we are striving to build a creative resource for those intrepid souls who build, hack, modify, tweak or repair electronic gear.

Solderhead.COM is a work in progress, and we are constantly 'netcombing' for new material. Here's where you can help! If you have a project, technique or idea that you think other builders would find useful, we encourage you to share it. Send us some of your material and get it posted here--with source credit to you--for our fellow solderheads to enjoy.

Speaking of links, sometimes ours may be broken and we offer the following consolation: The web is a dynamic system. Servers crash, routers won't (route, that is), and any number of other things can align to deprive you of your favorite link. Every link on this site is tested regularly--usually once a week. If a site does not report for two consecutive tests it is removed from our link farm. Maybe it comes back, maybe it doesn't. In the end, you can be assured that dead links will be the exception here.

While the focus of the site is generally hardware oriented, software is a component of modern technology just like chips, resistors & capacitors. So, look for a download area soon, where you'll find source code for projects; Solderhead apps for your PDA, and other gems of the software persuasion.
